Plastex 2024 At the beginning of January Matsui took part in the Plastex 2024 in Cairo, Egypt. The past editions counted 500 exhibiting companies and over 32 000 visitors from all over the world, placing this event as the biggest one in Middle East and North Africa regarding the plastic and rubber sector. Matsui structured its booth around the core concepts of recycling and sustainability, presenting its best machines. During Plastex we managed to have very interesting talks with the UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). We were very happy to hear that their main concept is very similar to Matsui's factor4 approach. Our common goals make us very good strategic partners; while UNIDO is very strong from a theoretical and resource perspective, we at Matsui are very close to the production and factories themselves. To really achieve change in this industry we need to reach every single factory, especially SMEs. The machines we presented were: our slow-speed granulator SMGL3, our solution desk (equipped with JL4, ARV and Magnet Stick) to remove dust and metal contaminations, our dehumidifying dryer MJ6-i to save energy up to the 83%, our MAG and the special ejector pin Mold breather the counteract the defect and waste issues linked with gases in the mold.
