Why factor4 is important to us "Mottainai" is a Japanese term that can be roughly translated as "What a waste!” and conveys in itself a sense of regret over waste. Matsui embraced the factor4 concept: developed in 1995 by Amory B. Lovins and his colleagues, this idea suggests that by reducing waste and increasing resource productivity by a factor of 4, it is possible to double our benefit while halving resource consumption. Achieving this equilibrium of input and output will allow to keep the environment and the world in a sustainable balance. Discover more about Factor4
